Description

Running a PowerPC 603e processor at speeds of between 100 and 120Mhz, the Power Macintosh 6300 had a 1.2Gb hard drive, 8x CD-ROM and 1.4Mb floppy drive.  The RAM was expandable to 64Mb via SIMM slots on the 120Mhz machine and DIMM slots on the 160Mhz machine. 

History

Apart from the new PowerPC 603e processor, the Power Mac 6300 was essentially the same as the 6200 series it was replacing, complete with the problems found in the earlier models.  The Power Macintosh 6300 was also sold as the Performa 6300.
