Description

The first of the Personal LaserWriter line to come with a processor, the Personal LaserWriter NTR had an AMD 29005 processor that could run at speeds of up to 16MHz.  It had 2MB of ROM and 4MB of RAM.  It also had version two of the PostScript interpreter and PCL 4+.  Communication with a network could be through LocalTalk, Serial or Parallel ports. 

The Personal LaserWriter NTR could print up to four pages per minute with a DPI of 300. 

History

The Personal LaserWriter NTR offered significant upgrades from earlier models in the Personal LaserWriter line.  The addition of a processor and the PostScript interpreter and expanded networking capabilities brought new features to the home users.
